Approximately 1.6 million Americans experience type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease. Many individuals are unaware that type 1 diabetes is even an autoimmune disease. Let that sink in. This lack of awareness causes unnecessary stigma, and more importantly late diagnoses. Project Prevent is a non-governmental organization aiming to raise awareness of autoimmune diseases, which include rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, myositis, and celiac disease. With increased awareness, we can help prevent lost lives and broken families.

This is why we urgently request you to donate to our fundraiser. We will be donating proceeds to The Myositis Organization, which maintains support groups, explains treatment options, and much more. Every penny counts towards a larger goal and we need your effort to reach it! 🙂
