The Myositis Association recognizes that the myositis patient’s best hope for a cure lies in research. The goal of TMA The Myositis Association’s Research Funding Program is to develop a better understanding of myositis diseases, develop finding better treatments, and, ultimately, find a cure for all forms of myositis. TMA began funding research in 2002, and has continued to award grants and fellowships for promising myositis research.
TMA offers a research fellowship program to attract and encourage post-doctoral trainees (PhD and MD) young physicians to pursue careers in the field of myositis research. TMA also funds research grants to initiate innovative pilot projects that will support larger funding opportunities.
