The Myositis Association recognizes that the myositis patient’s best hope for a cure lies in research. The goal of The Myositis Association’s Research Grant Program is to develop a better understanding of myositis diseases, create better treatments, and, ultimately, find a cure for  myositis. TMA began funding research in 2002, and has continued to fund promising myositis research ever since.

While continuing the effort to advance research into all forms of myositis, the 2024 grant cycle targets projects specifically related to sporadic inclusion body myositis and juvenile myositis.
