In January 2021, we identified a need to address TMA’s occupancy and our desire to be the best stewards of the organization’s resources. In doing so, we found the Headquarters office in Alexandria, Virginia to be neither cost effective, or conducive to team collaboration in the way it was laid out. We set out on a journey to drastically reduce TMA’s facility overhead. While it has been a cumbersome task to undertake while executing our organizational activities, we have been able to do just that.
At the close of February 2021, The Myositis Association relocated from Alexandria, Virginia to our new home in Columbia, Maryland. Columbia is located mid-way between Baltimore, Maryland and Washington DC on the I-95 corridor. While we aren’t quite finished unpacking and setting up, we wanted to close the month by allowing our community to be a part of this journey with us. We are happy to share our new office space
