a webinar by TMA medical advisor and research committee chair
Dr. Conrad “Chris” Weihl

Tuesday, April 9 at 12 noon ET

The Myositis Association recognizes that the myositis patient’s best hope for a cure lies in scientific research to develop a better understanding of myositis diseases, find better treatments, and, ultimately, discover a cure for all forms of myositis. TMA is currently seeking applications for pilot funding and fellowship grants for promising myositis research projects.

In this webinar, TMA medical advisor and research committee chair Dr. Conrad “Chris” Weihl speaks to investigators who hope to submit a research grant application as well as institutional leaders who advise trainees and early career faculty. He will:

·         Outline the TMA grant process
·         Discuss what the TMA Research Committee looks for in a strong grant application
·         Respond to participants’ questions about how investigators can position their application for success

Dr. Weihl is a professor of neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis where his research focuses on protein degradation and its role in degenerative neuromuscular diseases.
