Remember TMA on “Giving Tuesday”

Many of you will have received a letter from TMA’s board chairman, Jim Matthews, about including TMA in your year-end holiday donations. While we welcome donations at any time; and of any amount, many of our members like to make small donations on “Giving Tuesday,” as they go forward with their holiday shopping. Some members quietly recommend donations be made by family and friends during the holiday season, on their birthdays, or in memory of a loved one. Many members have registered campaigns on our website, and raised amounts ranging from $20 to $100,000. We appreciate them all!

We also have many generous members who have created fund-raising campaigns on social media and other platforms. Often, campaigns are centered around individual interests of patients and family members, such as golf tournaments, races, and scholarships to our Annual Patient Conference. TMA’s new leadership group, the Myositis Mavens, has already shown great ingenuity and energy in coming up with ways to engage the community as well as to raise funds, and we’re pleased to add several new campaigns in recent days. If you’re in the midst of a fundraising campaign, please let us know or learn how you can start your own campaign.

We try to collect them all here: https://www.myositis.org/get-involved/fundraise/fundraising-campaigns.  Take a few minutes to look through these creative ideas and donate according to your interests.
