I was diagnosed with NAIM in2017. I have had some recovery of muscle use after each flare, which was treated for 3days with1,000 units of IV cortisone each day. I currently have est. 50% of my muscles, including enough leg use to utilize cane for a few steps, otherwise I utilize a wheelchair. My next step will be an electric wheelchair.
In sept of 2022 I was admitted for care in a long term skilled nursing facility which I understand is my forever home now. I receive two treatments of IVIG each month from now on.
I would really like to connect with others with the same diagnosis to compare treatments.
