My older brother Tommy Worthington passed away from Dermatomyositis with ILD on July 23, 2012 at the young age of 39. Since his passing my family and I have worked hard to raise awareness and funds for those affected by myositis diseases. I have been a volunteer with The Myositis Association for many years and on the Board of Directors. Having attended over 10 years of the annual patient conferences I understand how important the support, resources and sessions are to helping those on their myositis journey. For Tommy’s angelversary this year I would like to help Lift Up Myositis in honor of Tommy by raising funds for the important work being done each and every day by The Myositis Association. As the Board Chair, I will continue to volunteer my time and give my best efforts to collaborate, communicate and connect with this amazing myositis community as we focus on TMA’s mission driven work. Thank you for helping me raise funds so we can bring a smile to the faces of those battling myositis, much like the one Tommy had & shared with others. Together we can truly make a difference and lift one another up. Thank you.
