Living with myositis can bring daily challenges that affect both body and mind. This session offers a gentle and supportive space to learn about the brain and body connection and how it influences stress, energy, and well-being and practical ways to support yourself and others. Through accessible nervous system education, you’ll be invited to explore and practice simple tools that help your body find more ease and balance, even on difficult days. We’ll focus on building resilience, not by pushing through discomfort, but by developing awareness, compassion, and practical skills to support yourself from the inside out. No prior experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to listen to your body’s wisdom.

Description:

Utilizing the evidence-based Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® during our time together we will:

  1. Explore the Resilient Zone framework to help cultivate greater awareness, compassion, and presence through a biological lens.
  2. Learn and practice core wellness skills designed to help you support yourself and others in practical, accessible ways.
  3. Deepen your understanding of the brain and body connection and discover practices that can help sustain well-being and help to navigate life with a chronic illness with more ease and resilience.
