Happy New Year to one and all! It’s time for our first SWFL Myositis KIT meeting of 2024 and we hope you can join us. It’s Saturday, February 3, 2024 starting at 11 a.m. and ending around 3:15. All members, their friends and families are welcome to attend. For reasons you will see below, REGISTRATION PRIOR TO THE MEETING, IS A MUST! The location is the Sarasota HealthFit at 5580 Rand Blvd in Sarasota, right off I-75 Exit 205, Clark Road.
The meeting will be “hybrid” which means we will have a live meeting where our speaker will be present. For those unable to join us in person, we welcome you to join us via the zoom link (click above to register for zoom).
Our presentation should be of interest to all myositis patients and their families: Dysphagia (or swallowing difficulties). We just discovered Maggie Donaker who leads the only support group in Florida for those with swallowing and speech challenges.
Speaking of swallowing, we will, as usual, offer light refreshments in the morning and a Chick-fil-a lunch after Maggie’s presentation. To ensure we have the right amount of food and water, we need to know who is coming. Please email at the link above to attend in person.
