It’s not unusual to feel isolated and alone with a disease that no one has ever heard of and doesn’t understand. Being part of a myositis support group is an important way to share these feelings with people who know exactly what you’re going through. Research shows that this sort of social connection can also improve both physical and mental well-being. Even if you are currently in a good place managing your myositis, consider joining. You can be an inspiration and source of strength for others!

Dr. Mazen Dimachkie, Professor of Neurology and Director of Neuromuscular Section, University of Kansas Medical Center will provide an update on clinical practice and current research studies for myositis. All are welcome!
