Mary Chaput has been the Program Director for Family caregiver support programs at the Department of Aging and Disabilities for more than 13 years. During her tenure Mary has provided training to more than 2,500 family caregiver, police officers, hospital personnel, home care and assisted living staff, high school students and a multitude of church and community members.
Mary writes a bi-weekly column, the Caregivers’ Corner, for the Tribune Publishing’s Capital/Gazette newspapers. Through her everyday interaction Mary knows how great the need is for knowledgeable and compassionate care. As a Certified Practitioner, she continues to look forward to educating the community as well as to providing Coach training to long-term care facilities, home care agencies, hospitals, and Area Agencies
