Welcome to our Group!
Our group was formed in September 2009 by Cheryle Miller and Mary Root, to help provide support to myositis patients and their loved ones. Our meetings are held quarterly and consist of a session to get to know members and new attendees, then we have a speaker. Many times we have doctor or other medical person speak. Lunch is next, followed by a update of information from The Myositis Association. The remainder of the meeting time is the Breakout Sessions by Myositis type. So there are lots of opportunities to speak casually with others who have your form of Myositis and to share your personal experience, ask questions about symptoms and, medications and experiences with doctors. We also hold a breakout table for caregivers to chat and share ideas.
We encourage you to pal up with another member and to keep in touch between meetings.
