
Ricky Marks was diagnosed with Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM) in 2016 and has remained an active and dedicated member of The Myositis Association (TMA). He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors Governance Committee, where he brings deep experience in organizational leadership, strategic oversight, and board operations.
Ricky retired after a distinguished thirty‑six‑year career with Bristol Myers Squibb, where he held roles that drew on his scientific training, operational expertise, and commitment to advancing healthcare. He earned his Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science degree and received his RPh in 1978.
A longtime resident of Powder Springs, Georgia, Ricky is married to Cynthia Marks. Together they have two adult children, Christopher and Kamron. Ricky is a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and an avid sports enthusiast—especially when it comes to professional football.
