The Giving Challenge

The Giving Challenge is an exciting 24-hour online giving event that connects nonprofit organizations with passionate donors and community members to support diverse causes and create enduring impact in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties in Florida. The Giving Challenge is hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation.

TMA will participate in The Giving Challenge from noon to noon on April 26 – 27, 2022.

TMA once again will invite our community and supporters to participate by giving and fundraising. All money donated to TMA will go directly to TMA and towards our mission work. Donors may specify their money be given in honor or memory of a loved one. 

In addition, an incredible feature of the Giving Challenge is that one of the local philanthropic groups in Florida, The Patterson Foundation, will match each dollar donated up to $100/donation. This match money will go into a special account at TMA that will directly support the Southwest Florida KIT, with their events and activities. Past examples of how this money has been used is to help educate medical professionals and occupational and physical therapists about myositis, for scholarships to the Annual Patient Conference, and for meeting and activity expenses.
