The Wisconsin Support Group consists of 30-36 individuals who meet on a Saturday three times each year for lunch, a program and social interaction. Spouses, family members and caregivers are also invited to attend. Meetings are generally held in April, July and October. New members will find they are warmly welcomed and quickly acclimated to our congenial group. Programs may include speakers from the health care community or individuals knowledgeable in other subjects of interest as suggested by our members.
During the winter months, we keep in touch through informal conference calls. On these calls, we are open to questions posed by both current members and newly diagnosed individuals. Additional subjects may include health updates on current members, advances in myositis research, medications, assistive devices and equipment, or any other topic brought forward by participants.
