TMA is thrilled to be chosen as Charity of the Month for December by two radio stations in the Washington, DC area.

WTOP-FM (103.5) , an all-news commercial radio station serving the DC area, and its sister station, AM 1500 WFED, which is aimed at federal government employees, will air public service announcements about TMA and myositis diseases throughout the month of December.

TMA is also featured on websites for both WTOP and WFED.

TMA is grateful to WTOP for this opportunity and for their support of the importance of raising awareness of this rare disease among its listeners. With a significant number of veterans who live with myositis, we also appreciate the opportunity to spread the word about these diseases among Federal employees who listen to WFED.

PSAs such as this raise awareness of myositis diseases across a broad area of the public, which is one of TMA’s primary missions. We are grateful for the efforts of TMA KIT Support Group leader Bitsy Anderson for making this opportunity possible. As Bitsy says:

It is vital for all of us to search for new opportunities to spread
awareness of myositis and seek funds for research and education.

Dream it. Wish it. Do it!
